My tip for you today is to listen to more sales podcasts! Obviously, I\u2019m a big fan of the medium as the host of two different sales focused shows, but I also listen to a lot of other shows as well. Not all of them\u00a0are sales oriented, some are related to my industry and other interests I have, but for me, it\u2019s mostly about being able to make productive use of those times where my body might be busy, but my brain is free. That\u2019s usually when I\u2019m in the car or working out, although my Peloton is pretty all consuming so a little less while working out these days.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m also what\u2019s called a podfaster. I listen to almost everything sped up to somewhere between 1.8 and two times normal speed. Which means I can consume 80-100% more content in the same amount of time. Some people think I\u2019m crazy when they hear this, but if you work your way up you\u2019ll hardly notice. You shouldn\u2019t have to subject yourself to a bunch of chipmunks while doing this. A good app will allow you to speed things up with out making the pitch higher. I typically listen with an app called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pocketcasts.com\">Pocket Casts<\/a> that allows you to speed things up in tenths. So you can start with 1.1 times speed or 1.2 times speed. I bet you\u2019ll barely notice, and then add 10% each week for a few weeks and you\u2019ll be zipping along like me. According to my stats in Pocket Casts, and I\u2019ll share this screenshot on this tip\u2019s page at <a href=\"http:\/\/dailysales.tips\/50\/#disqus_thread\">DailySales.Tips\/50<\/a> I\u2019ve saved over 28 days of time doing this. It\u2019s not all just speeding things up. It also allows me to skip intros. So when I listen to the Tim Ferris show for example I have it set to skip the first 4 minutes where he sticks all of his ads.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/top1.fm\/DailySalesTips\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/02\/IMG-1998-576x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1575 size-large\" srcset=\"https:\/\/top1.fm\/DailySalesTips\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/02\/IMG-1998-576x1024.png 576w, https:\/\/top1.fm\/DailySalesTips\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/02\/IMG-1998-169x300.png 169w, https:\/\/top1.fm\/DailySalesTips\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/02\/IMG-1998-768x1365.png 768w, https:\/\/top1.fm\/DailySalesTips\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/02\/IMG-1998.png 1242w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So with that little hack, you should have more bandwidth to listen to more podcasts!
