Jeff Bajorek is back today with another bit of brilliance as we sneak up on the end of the year:<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Bajorek: During the last couple of weeks of December, I spend a lot of time deep in thought. There&#8217;s always a lot to unpack from the year that we just finished and there&#8217;s always more to look forward to in the year upcoming. If you&#8217;re not spending time thinking, reflecting, looking forward, then you&#8217;re doing it wrong. I&#8217;m going to tell you that you need to do that over the next few days and the next couple of weeks. I&#8217;m even going to give you permission right now to do that. Yes, you can take time. You can take 15 minutes a day. You can take an hour on a weeknight, a weekday, whatever it is. Take some time to spend thinking. Now here&#8217;s my tip for you though. My last tip of 2019 is to not get you just to think about what&#8217;s coming up, not just think about all of the things that you&#8217;re going to do in the next year. I want you to think about today. I want you to think the next couple of days about what you need to get rid of in order to enable those new big projects, those new big ideas to actually take flight.<\/p>\n<p>You like me, I&#8217;m sure of it. Have a full docket, a full slate. Your life is full. Hopefully, your life is full and big and something that you&#8217;re proud of. And if you&#8217;re a goal-oriented, driven person like I know you are, cause you listen to a podcast like this on a daily basis, then you&#8217;ve got big dreams, you&#8217;ve got big projects, you&#8217;ve got big things that you&#8217;re working on. Where are you going to make room for those things? What are you going to get rid of or are you just going to bring on help? I mean you look, you can always hire more people and there are a ton of virtual assistants out there who will help you get the work done that you need to. But even then you have to decide what to delegate. So what are you going to get rid of? What is no longer serving you that once did, what kind of sacred cows do you have to slay in order to make room for the new projects, the new dreams, the new goals, the new objectives?<\/p>\n<p>Think about that and then share your thoughts with me. I&#8217;m going through the same process right now. It is not an easy one, but I know that in order to get to where I need to go in order to accomplish what I need to accomplish, what I&#8217;m doing now isn&#8217;t going to get it done and I know that I need to change those things.
