DailySales.Tips\/333<\/a><\/p>\nHere\u2019s what I think it comes down to and how this show can help you. First, hard work is a given. If your desire is to be at the top of the leaderboard and you don\u2019t feel like you\u2019re working somewhere in the neighborhood of twice as hard as your peers\u2026 you\u2019re probably not working hard enough. Of course, there\u2019s also an element of working smart. You have to be consistently doing the right kind of work. For most that mean a heavy dose of prospecting, even if you have an SDR team supporting you. Sitting back and waiting for marketing and the SDR team to provide enough pipeline for you almost always spells doom. Beyond that, it just comes down to treating sales as a craft and making small incremental improvements over time and finding your own way. I often tell people in my talks that there is no recipe that just works 100% of the time. Instead what I can give you, and what you can glean from this show is a lot of different ingredients. But it\u2019s up to you to actually try those ingredients. Experiment with them. Find what works for you and fits your style, your approach, and your process. Then just continue to work hard, repeat that exercise of experimentation and improvement over and over and over again, and unfortunately, and this is probably the least inspiring part, but the reality is that you\u2019ll never be done. The market, your industry, and your customers are going to continue to change and evolve and you\u2019ll never be perfect. But to me that\u2019s what makes life interesting. That\u2019s what life long learning is all about. It\u2019s no accident that the true sales professionals that seek out my Sales Success Summit each year are already doing incredibly well and are often the top performer in their organization already. You\u2019d think that they don\u2019t need the help. They\u2019re already there, and yet they\u2019re the first ones to seek out the learning and the knowledge. It\u2019s not an accident that they\u2019re at the top. It\u2019s because they\u2019ve done that kind of work their entire career and they\u2019ll never stop.<\/p>\n
So please stop looking for the silver bullet. Instead, spend a little bit of time everyday looking for a way and working on a way to get just a tiny bit better. Those tiny, seemingly meaningless improvements compounded day after day after day are what lead to exponential results over time.
