Shannon is an SDR at Mediafly, she&#8217;s fairly new to tech sales and is happy to bring some laughs and knowing smiles to the community through these parodies of popular songs. Here she is with On the Phone:<\/p>\n<p>Shannon Selis:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;And now I&#8217;m on the phone again<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>No meeting set, no excuse to go to<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I do not want your attitude sir, I&#8217;m calling you because I&#8217;m supposed to.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The quarter-end is near.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But will I make my goal this year?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I sequence leads from my LinkedIn<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>When my boss talks during meetings.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I prospect them and find their titles<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>with the company, I&#8217;m seeking.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Script sounds good in my head<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Why am I hung up on instead?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>On the phone.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I wonder if they&#8217;ll answer me<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>All alone<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I call and call all morning.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Without this, I would feel less anxiety.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But when I hear them answer, I forget my point entirely.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In this role<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My hair is turning silver.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I want to throw<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My phone into the river<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In Salesforce<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The tasks block out the sunlight<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And all I see are leads and leads, Forever and forever<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And I know<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;m gonna lose my mind<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Cause I&#8217;m talking to myself, and not to them.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And although, I&#8217;m really calling blind<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Still, they say<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Cold callings the way?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;m calling, but when the hours over<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;ll check Gong<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>To see if I sound better<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With Orum<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I find my call speed changes<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It&#8217;s all in Outreach everywhere,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>So leads are less like strangers<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;m calling, but every day I&#8217;m learning<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In this role, the list is never-ending<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My AEs, their contracts keeps on turning<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In a world that&#8217;s full of bonuses that I may never know<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I hate calling<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But I&#8217;ll keep calling<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;m done calling.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>So I&#8217;m hanging up the phone.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Scott Ingram: If you like this you might want to hop back to Shannon&#8217;s last appearance in <a href=\"https:\/\/top1.fm\/DailySalesTips\/sales-tip-645-just-a-person-in-sales-song-shannon-selis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tip #645<\/a> and connect with her on LinkedIn where she does this even more often.
