Today&#8217;s tip comes from Chris McNeill. Chris helps clients solve complex communication needs as a Director of Sales with Infinite Convergence Solutions. Here he is:<\/p>\n<p>Chris McNeill: Only do the things that you&#8217;ll get fired for not doing. I mean, don&#8217;t actually do this. In sales, there are a million ways to lose a deal and 10 million ways to get distracted. I find myself constantly reminding myself that my job is really quite simple. When I boil it down, I have two things to accomplish, create new pipeline and move opportunities towards close. I try to make sure that I&#8217;m working on those two objectives every single day, and I push everything else to a lower priority. Sure, there are a lot of necessary distractions that are important, like listening to great sales content over at Top1.fm that will level up my selling ability. But those things fill my calendar after I&#8217;ve allocated time for working on my core objectives, generating pipeline, and closing deals.
