Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today I want to talk about just being a good team player. You\u2019ve heard me say it before and I\u2019ll say it again: Sales is a team support. None of us succeeds alone, and like with any good, strong relationship, you\u2019ve got to work at it. Sometimes you need to lean on them to help you pull together some crazy set of details you need for an important RFP response, or you need help with a presentation deck or legal redlines or executive air cover, or any number of things that happen throughout a sales process and all-around your business.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s so important not to just be a taker in those relationships. You\u2019ve got to give back, you\u2019ve got to pay it forward, sometimes you need to reduce the pressure because of what\u2019s going on in the world or in their lives. If you haven\u2019t picked up on it already, there\u2019s usually something behind the tips that I share here. They\u2019re usually based on something I\u2019m working on, something I\u2019ve done that\u2019s helped me, something I\u2019m thinking about, or just something that I\u2019m seeing. In this case, this idea of supporting those who support you is really personal.<\/p>\n
All of the design work that you see around Sales Success Everything is produced by an incredible husband and wife design team who are based in Moldova. They were the first members of team Sales Success and they have come through for me again and again and again. But right now things are kinda crazy for them. They\u2019ve got a lot of family members in Ukraine and there are all kinds of impacts that are spilling over into their country and into their lives. I know it\u2019s unbelievably stressful for them. There\u2019s only so much I can actually do to help from over 6,000 miles away, but sometimes it\u2019s just listening or providing that little extra leeway. This is maybe an extreme example, but it\u2019s good to know what\u2019s going on, in the lives of the people around you. It\u2019s important to make sure that you\u2019re doing everything you can to take care of and support the people who are taking care of you and supporting you, whether that\u2019s in business or in life.\u00a0Think about it.<\/p>\n
And now I\u2019m going to turn around and ask too much of my audio editor, because I\u2019m way late in getting this to him, but I\u2019ll find a way to make it up to him.
