Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Happy Friday y\u2019all. Here\u2019s Jack Wilson with today\u2019s tip:<\/p>\n

Jack Wilson: What’s going on Daily Sales Tips Community. Jack Wilson back with another tip. Although you might not be surprised, it’s going to be a little goofier or a little more fun than most. My tip for you today is to theme or to brand or name your partnerships. And this doesn’t just have to be external partnerships. For me, I use this with internal partnerships.<\/p>\n

Here’s an example.<\/p>\n

I’ve had one of the best BDRs in the world shout out to Dave ‘Soup’ Campbell at Seismic, and we named ourselves after the new Cobra Kai Series. I guess it’s not new anymore on Netflix. So we called ourselves the Eagle Fang Dojo. We took this so far as to buy t-shirts from Eagle Fang Dojo, to label our calendar invites for Eagle Fang. And even when I did a QBR to express all of the opportunities that he had booked for me, I made sure to put a giant Eagle Fang logo right on those logos on my slides.<\/p>\n

Why is this important?<\/p>\n

Sales is a grind. It’s a lot of hard work. We’re managing external teams, we’re managing internal teams. Anything that you can do to bring the passion and to bring the energy and to stay top of mind with your partners and give yourselves a little extra reason to have fun and stay motivated can make a huge difference.<\/p>\n

So, unfortunately for David, I’ve got a new BDR now. And at Seismic, whenever they book an opportunity, they call it a “boom.”<\/p>\n

So, ladies and gentlemen, get ready for the Legion of Boom.<\/p>\n
