Today\u2019s tip comes from Shari Levitin. Shari is a wickedly funny sales guru, who helps sales teams bridge the gap between beating quota and selling with an authentic, heartfelt approach. LinkedIn recognized her as a Top Ten Voice in Sales and Salesforce distinguished her as a Top 20 Global Sales Expert. Here she is:<\/p>\n<p>Shari Levitin: Every time you sell something, do this. Don&#8217;t just think about the products that you&#8217;re selling or the services you&#8217;re providing. Think instead about the experience that you&#8217;re giving to the consumer. 58% of customers will switch brands for a better customer experience. 76% of customers will pay more money for a better customer experience. You will too.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll tell you something that happened to me the other day. I had a great experience. I will tell you, I had an appointment at Friday at 11:00, an appointment that I was not looking forward to one bit. Two days before I got an email. &#8220;This is what you can expect. This is what&#8217;s going to happen.&#8221; &#8220;Oh, okay. Good to know.&#8221; The day of I get a text. &#8220;Hey, on your way down, there&#8217;s a great little coffee shop with killer muffins. You may want to stop there before you come to our office.&#8221; Oh, I&#8217;m starting to feel good. Okay. This person really cares about me, and they even want me to have muffins. Then I go into the office, and you know what I see? A placard that says, &#8220;Welcome Shari Levitin.&#8221; Now I&#8217;m feeling they really care about me. Then they put me in a chair and put warm booties on me and hand warmers. I look up and there&#8217;s a TV, they ask me if I want earbuds to listen to music. And then the root canal began. Yeah, I actually enjoyed a root canal.<\/p>\n<p>Now, if I can have an enjoyable root canal experience, you can give your customers a great experience, too. Now, after the root canal was over, the endodontist calls me back. &#8220;Hey, I&#8217;m just checking on you. Want to see how you&#8217;re doing? Is everything okay?&#8221; He told me a funny joke. I got to tell you, I can&#8217;t wait to go back to that <span>endodontics<\/span>.
