As we continue our collaboration with Allego and their EnableMinutes show in honor of Mental Health Awareness month. Today\u2019s tip comes from Chris Bogue, Owner of Chris Bogue Communications. Here he is:<\/p>\n

Chris Bogue: The best advice I ever received about mental health was someone told me there’s a huge list of life changes that really alter a person’s life. Getting a job, getting fired from a job, getting into a relationship, ending a relationship, birth of a child, death of a family member. If you’re dealing with two or more of these at the same time, go to a therapist, even if you don’t feel depressed. That was what they told me. They’re like, It doesn’t have to be you’re desperate and crying and unable to get out of your bed. There are all these things that rearrange your life that are so stressful that talking to someone who’s trained to listen can really help. And once I learned that and I stopped thinking of it as you’re going to therapy because something’s wrong with you, I realized there doesn’t have to be anything wrong with you. Life is hard. Even if everything goes well, even if you’re a successful person who’s done very well for yourself, life is very stressful. It can be very helpful to talk to somebody who is just trained to listen.<\/p>\n
