Happy Friday everyone. Here\u2019s Jack Wilson with a provocative sales tip for you:<\/p>\n<p>Jack Wilson: What&#8217;s going on Daily Sales Tips Community. Jack Wilson back with another tip. My tip for you today is to record one year&#8217;s worth of daily sales tips, one tip per week. And I&#8217;m not just recommending that at because that&#8217;s what I just got done doing for 2022, but it&#8217;s because of what I learned from that. Doing it for an entire year.<\/p>\n<p>It definitely wasn&#8217;t easy. You would think just sitting down and recording a tip for two or three minutes would be something that you could easily fit into your schedule, but it turns out it&#8217;s actually pretty challenging. There&#8217;s a lot of self-doubt about whether or not what I have to say or share is valuable. Sometimes there&#8217;s just idea block coming up with something that I think is valuable myself, that I want to share. But ultimately, the job got done. I think with a few hiccups along the line, Scott would probably be honest and tell you a lot of hiccups along the line.<\/p>\n<p>But at the end of the year, I think one of the best things of the practice is I get to go back and relisten to my own tips. Now, sure, it sounds a little bit vain, but when you think about it, how often do we really take the time to record things that we want to do for ourselves? Or advice that we&#8217;re giving other people that we maybe don&#8217;t take 100% of the time that we want to be more intentional about committing to?<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s be honest, I think a lot of us talk about journaling and talk about wanting to reflect and adding an iteration process into our day. But when life hits us, sometimes those things get pushed to the back burner.<\/p>\n<p>So by taking an entire year to record tips, I can go back and listen to those tips. And when I do that, a couple of things happen. I create a catalog of the things I said I wanted to do, and I can measure the gap between the ones that I&#8217;m doing consistently and the ones that maybe I want to continue to try to incorporate. I can also reflect on the mindset that I was in. Certain tips come from a place of emotion. Where was I when that tip was prompted? Did I see, experience or encountered that made me think that way? Do I still believe that to be true today? Or maybe has my perception changed or my point of view about that particular issue or feeling or moment has come to find a new meaning?<\/p>\n<p>So I say all this to say, you too can provide value to yourself by cataloging the things that, you know, equal success and best practices. But in the meantime, you could also have a potentially profound impact on a whole myriad of other people that maybe haven&#8217;t even thought about those things that you shared.<\/p>\n<p>So one more time my tip for you is to record one daily sales tip a week for an entire year.
