- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2019Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseSimilar to other reviews I found Trong first by researching Enterprise sales information on the web and YouTube. This book is what I was actually looking for that I couldn't find in other searches. It provides the framework of what it takes to position yourself for success in high tech and complex selling. I especially enjoyed the personal touches and humor of this book. The "Lessons Learned" at the end of each chapter is an ideal touch that makes this book a mainstay for your office resources. Reading this is like having the ability to grab a coffee with an experienced expert and get a quick download for how to be successful and what it will be like to work on large scale corporate deals that touch nearly every level and department of an organization both on the customer side and internally. Highly recommend this book and I'm sure the author would agree that this book is best utilized as another piece to your total development journey.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2018Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseI had heard Trong speak on a couple of podcasts and bought his book after seeing him steal the show at a sales conference. I was very impressed by his detailed and methodical approach to large strategic enterprise deals.
Winning the Cloud doesn't dive deep into details for account plans and/or cloud infrastructure but provides a blueprint for the type of person you need to be to succeed in enterprise technology sales. The underlying theme is the importance of relationships, both internally and externally, and how to be well-rounded while also meeting the sometimes excruciating time requirements.
The book is an easy read, Trong has a very personable and his writing style is easy-to-connect with. I would recommend this book to anyone currently in sales and in need of a sanity check as well as those looking to grow into an enterprise sales role.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2021Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseDon’t blink, you might miss it. Valuable chunks of sales insight hidden are sometimes hidden in a narrative jam packed with personal anecdotes.
The author presents several high level strategies, names them, but leaves the rest to you. But he does not leave you without showing it’s practical application.
He opens the rabbit hole but let’s you decide whether you want go deeper.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseTrong has an ability to tell stories a certain way that educates & entertains the reader simultaneously. It was great to learn about his experience navigating through obstacles he encountered while building relationships with executives that come from all walks of life. The most valuable thing this book offered is a Lessons Learned section that included all of the gems in one place at the end of every chapter. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to be a top performer in sales, or any other industry.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2019Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis book is a gold mine for IT sales professionals looking for practical advice on how to succeed both professionally & personally. In this book, Trong provides valuable insight on his daily routines, how he structures his weeks, how he interacts with his clients, negotiation tactics, personal development tools, and much more. I often revisit this book when I'm struggling to make decisions and need advice, it's like a mentors handbook. The best part of all, it's a super quick & easy read. I knocked it out in one evening after work.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseTrong's book is full of well-crafted gems, easy to read in chapters which stand alone as great life lessons. The "purple hair" story comes to mind often and so do many other great stories. Reading Trong's conversations and interactions with the C-suite in some of the world's biggest corporations are wonderful fly-on-the-wall vignettes. But no matter what you do or where you do it, Trong's book shows that life is about people. And, that we all have similar things driving us, it is just the language communicating them that is different. Stories you feel liking reading again and again.
