Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Here’s Jeff Bajorek with his thought for you this week:
Jeff Bajorek: It never ceases to amaze me how often salespeople can’t answer questions that they really should know the answers to. You know, questions like, what are you trying to accomplish on this next sales call? If you don’t have a plan, if you don’t know what the next step should be, then don’t execute the step that’s in front of you. Understand what needs to happen before you go into whatever it is you think you need to do. Stop being worried about looking busy and start thinking about what you’re trying to accomplish. When you know what you’re trying to accomplish, you’ll know what you need to ask for. If you know what you need to ask for it, you’ll know how to enter that step and when you know how to enter that step and you feel like you know how to enter that step, you’ll be a lot more confident. You’ll be a lot more poised, you’ll be a lot more effective. So know what you’re trying to do before you go and do it and you’ll be a lot more successful.

After you’ve done that, but sure to come back tomorrow for another great sales tip. Thanks for listening!
