Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today’s tip comes from Collin Mitchell. Collin is a four-time founder, father of four, and host of the Sales Transformation podcast. Here he is:
Collin Mitchell: Good morning, Daily Sales Tips listeners. My name is Collin Mitchell. I am the co-founder over at SalesCast and host of Sales Transformation. Super pump today to give you a little tip about how to book 3 to 5 meetings per day on LinkedIn. Yes, that’s right. I’m not kidding here. I ran a couple of tests and experiments. I ran them for 4 weeks straight. And here’s what I learned.
I learned that if you send 25 connection requests per day with no personalized message. That’s right. No personalized message. I know everybody out there is going to tell you, you got to send a message and there’s some people that are not going to connect with you. And yes, you are going to get 10% less connections that are going to accept your request. But here’s the magic.
Now, if you respond within a reasonable time after they accept your connection with a personalized video, my personal favorite is to use Vidyard has a nice little integration with LinkedIn. And send a personalized video that’s around 30 seconds, give or take.
In that video. You want to request to set up time to talk and provide them with something of extreme value.
Now, for me, I’m in the manage podcast business, so I’m offering people to guest on podcasts in my network, and typically people are going to say yes to this. So I’ve also coached people on other things where they maybe do some sort of security audit for high-end network security, whatever it is, find out something. Target the right people. Send a connection request 25 a day, no personalized message. When they accept your connection request, go ahead and send that video, whether you use Vidyard or some other tool, 30 seconds or less, asking to set up a time. Give them a no sales pitch guarantee on the call. That’s right. You’re not going to pitch them. You’re going to bring value and it’s got to be something that they really value, not some ebook or blog article or something they really don’t care about, but something that they can find tremendous value in. And that is how you will book 3 to 5 meetings a day on LinkedIn.
