Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today I have the perfect tip for you this Sunday as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month in our collaboration with Allego and their EnableMinutes show AND we can celebrate Mother’s Day with a tip from Amy Looper, the Founder of Mothers in Sales. Here she is:
Amy Looper: Anyone that is feeling any sense of anxiety or fear, when those feelings come up, that’s a human experience. We all have those feelings. But when they come up, we get to really shift quickly. And you can make a choice to either sit in that and make decisions in that space, or you can shift out of it very quickly by asking yourself this one question, what is the courageous choice here? It might be uncomfortable, but what is the courageous thing? Do I make the phone call to the executive? Do I take a break right now, rest and recover? Recovering from anxiety and burnout is really about giving yourself rest and recovery points in time. And so sometimes as high achievers, that’s a courageous action because we have to put boundaries in place to protect our energy versus trying to people please all of the time. And that can be a really big game changer in your performance.
