Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Our friends at Allego are making it possible for me to take a little time away with the family on Spring Break and shared a bunch of seller-specific EnableMinutes from their new show. This one comes from Devyn Blume. Devyn is a Senior Account Executive at Allego. Here she is:
Devyn Blume: So last year was definitely a tougher year in terms of sales. One of the key things that I realized throughout my sales processes was I was asking for help when it was a little bit too late. And the types of help that other people were asking for was I just got off a really early stage meeting and they brought something up and this is how I handled it. Could I get some advice? I’m very lucky to work for a company where everybody wants to be involved and wants to win as a team. So I think when it clicked that it’s not really about asking for help on a specific question, but it’s more so getting people involved that might be subject matter experts in certain areas or just getting more people involved early on, even if it’s not really a question or asking for anything, more to just share a certain situation about a deal is proven to be really beneficial. In the past, I took on the weight of my quota by myself, which really just didn’t lead to great success. But when I started utilizing the resources that I have available to me, it proved to be very fruitful.
