Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today’s tip comes in the form of a clip from the most recent interview episode on the Sales Success Stories podcast featuring Kaleigh Conners who finished as the top Solutions Advisor at GreyCastle Security last year, before joining the team at Terryberry as a Strategic Account Executive this year. Here she is:
Kaleigh Conners: For me, that all comes down to leveraging the people around you. So just as you’re saying, there are people within the Sales Success Community that are kind of climbing their way to the top by leveraging the feedback and the comments and the insights shared by some of the top presenters that are shared throughout the community. So I really believe that taking in as much information as possible from these successful folks that are willing to share their tips and tricks and their routines is so important to kind of just take that and then filter it down to what works best for you.
A lot of the time I find that there is so much information available online that it gets a little bit overwhelming of do I need to do everything? And I’m one of those people that gets into that mental battle of how do I incorporate everything this person is doing into what I need to be doing? And what I’ve really found is because there’s just so much information and people available to share their insights is to take it, boil it down, and figure out a way that you can implement it into your life based of how you can be most successful.
And I think a lot of that stems with figuring out how you can be most successful for yourself and what that looks like, how your routines are, and really bringing it to a science, instead of winging it, if you are winging it and figuring out what that looks like for you and making it into some type of mathematical equation. But coming through the summit and building what I am today has really led to specific routines, specific learnings that I dive into frequently, and then making sure that everything I’m doing is structured and documented in such away.
So Scott, you were just saying document your success plans and how you’re going to reach that top 1% spot. If you’re running your own, let’s say, personal operating system and figuring out who you are as a human being and get into the habit of documenting how you’re going to be personally successful, whether that’s in your job or your personal life. And getting into the habit of just documenting that and signing your name to it and really owning your own success, I think is a huge part of how you can get to being on this podcast and seeing massive growth in your personal and professional life.
Scott Ingram: You’ll find my full conversation with Kaleigh on the Sales Success Stories podcast in episode 135, and as always we’ll have links to that episode for you to connect with Kaleigh at DailySales.Tips/1096.
