Meshell Baker: Hello and welcome to Six Simple Strategies to Stay Motivated because it can make the difference between your success and your failure.
Strategy number one. Understand your purpose, the why. What you do is not as important as why you do it. When you find and discover your reasons and have them be more compelling than your results, you will find the results time and time again. Because the driving force of success for successful people is why they do it. Not what they do, but why they do it. So understand your purpose, which is your why.
Create a clear path vision. So that clear, compelling vision in your mind. If you have not seen the success, your incredible success, whatever that looks like for you in your role, your career, your business, if you have not seen it in your mind’s eye, you will not create it in your reality. Sit still and create the highest, grandest vision possible, because you can only achieve what you first see, believe in your mind.
Number three. Define the big picture goal. What is that big, hairy, audacious goal that you are looking to drive forward? So that is a vital first step before the planning and doing. So you have a vision in your eye. Now you want to get it down and what it looks like and the picture of it for you as the individual. This is where you start to think strategically and focus on the entirety of that concept, turning it from a wish into a destination and a target that you’re actually going to create. And it helps you to stay focused on long term possibility and the overall potential for what your success looks like. And the bottom line is they’ll help you stay motivated to keep your eye on the prize.
Number four. Produce a plan. So now we’re going to take all these big aspirations and turn them into, yes, smart goals. Time honored and incredibly successful method of producing a plan is smart goals. Specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. And I like relevant versus realistic because those who change the world, those who create and generate the most success in income, tend to be unreasonable. So relevant is better than realistic. So sit down, you can Google smart goals, find a format, and map it out. What does that look like? Because a goal without a plan, as we know, is just a wish.
Number five. Keep positive. Positive thoughts leads to positive actions. As I tell people, you cannot get an apple tree from an orange seed. So if you are doing all of these activities out of obligation, frustration, fear, second-guessing, doubt, imposter syndrome. There is absolutely zero chance of you creating an incredible and amazing life that you love and enjoy. You must begin your day and all your activities from the same energy that you want to live from. So take control of how you think, how you feel, and how you act. Positivity will help you make choices that lead to accomplishments that exceed your expectations and those of the clients and the people that you work with and the people that you work around and the people that you love. Stay positive.
And number six. Practice patience. That’s a double P. Why? Because once you set out on a why in a big picture and a target and that big plan that you’re creating, the chances of you getting it exactly the way you’re planning it are absolutely zero. So be patient so that you can learn to become flexible and adaptable, so that you can experience the uncertainty, the uncomfortable, the inconvenience, the unexpected, the unplanned. It’s all coming for you in the midst of you creating your big, hairy, audacious goals. So the mindfulness, the meditation, the breathing, and the bonus P, playful. Fun gets more done.
So create a vision of your life that’s incredibly amazing, fun, and valuable to you and everyone around you, and you’ll be amazed at what you’re able to create, how many more sales will come through, how much more successful you will be and bottom line, have a great day selling!
