“Multi-threading is a great way to accelerate your deals, make them bigger, increase your win rate, etc. And so I think you are making a lethal mistake if you expect to come and end this sale to the finish line by yourself.” – Nick Cegelski in today’s Tip 1489

Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Our friends at Allego are making it possible for me to take a little time away with the family on Spring Break and shared a bunch of seller-specific EnableMinutes from their new show. This one comes from Nick Cegelski. Nick is a Senior Account Executive and the host of the 30 Minutes to President’s Club podcast. Here he is:
Nick Cegelski: Never win a deal alone, never lose a deal alone. The way that I want this to go is I say to the customer, usually when folks are evaluating our thing, they have some questions around, what the implementation looks like. But a lot of times folks are going to want to talk to our customer success implementation team. Would you like me to facilitate that conversation? But it does a couple of things. One, is my team feels valued because I’m actually involving them in winning new business. Two, they start to up level because they start to hear what the market is actually saying. They’re not just talking to current customers, they’re talking to prospects. Three, the pressures off me. Four, when I multi-thread, that lends the customer to multi-thread it. And because now I’m introducing someone else on our side into the sale, they’re going to say, Okay, well, maybe I should bring some people in also. Again, multi-threading is a great way to accelerate your deals, make them bigger, increase your win rate, etc. And so I think you are making a lethal mistake if you expect to come and end this sale to the finish line by yourself.
