Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today’s tip comes from Craig Sanders. Craig is a passionate dry witted individual contributor selling enterprise software for AVEVA. Here he is:
Craig Sanders: Hello, fellow society members. Craig Sanders reaching out to you to share. I had a very interesting day yesterday, very challenging day, in fact. I lost a couple of deals, a couple of significant deals, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. I was expecting to lose them, but then to get word on the same day that I lost them was just sucks. Anyways, because of participating in what I’m doing within the society, specifically the 12-week year part of the process, I was working on one of my tasks in cleaning up my Salesforce and focusing on next year, more intentionally generating revenue activities. And because of that, I was actually able to generate two significant meetings for two significant deals that I’ve been working on that I’m pretty proud of. I also did have an amazing workout at the gym last night as well, too. And then this morning, when I did the com app for my meditation, the note on the end of it, I’d like to read it to you, it actually said this, You’ll have bad times, but it’ll always wake you up to the good stuff you weren’t paying attention to. Which is what I was doing in cleaning up my Salesforce and generating activity actions that I was doing. Bottom line, learn from the losses and keep moving forward. Thank you.
