Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today’s tip comes from Meshell Baker, our favorite sales confidence igniter and authentic selling crusader who’s here every Monday to help us kick off the week. Here she is:
Meshell Baker: Hello. Today’s tip is coming in the form of 10 top quotes. Now, I’m going to give you five to thrive today, and then next Monday, you’ll get five more.
So the quote number one is from B. Smith, “I have stood on a mountain of no’s for one yes.” This is almost saying and speaking itself. Those who succeed learn to emotionally, mentally, physically be able to accept no is not never. It’s just not now. Remember, just because someone told you no does not mean it’s no. It doesn’t mean that you will not succeed. It does not mean that you will not get to sales. Is simply a redirection instead of a rejection. So learning to deal with no is just a temporary setback or a temporary delay is how you become incredibly successful.
Quote number 2, Thomas Edison, “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” True or words have not been spoken. Those who create incredible success in life, become relentless in their pursuit. They do not see failure in any form. All they have is the vision, the target of what success looks like, and they become resourceful in their ability to go about asking questions, seeking answers, looking further for the result that they are seeking. That is on you to rely Guys, do not give up. So important to believe in what your success is, regardless of what you may see, feel, hear, or even think today. Hold the target of success and every day get up and remember, and every day in every way, you’re getting better and better and closer and closer.
Quote number three, “Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.” This is Eleanor Roosevelt. Remember, mistakes are just missteps or miscommunication. It’s just a delay. It’s not a denial. When you surround yourself in community or coaching or collaboration or mentoring with other people who have made mistakes, you will start to understand they’re not a big deal. You will also hear how to move through them faster, how to leverage them, how to optimize them by listening to other people who have made the same or similar as you. Surround yourself with success and mistakes will become a a thing of the past. They are just bumps in the road on the journey to your success.
Number four, “Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.” This is Og Mandino. The two words have not been spoken. Your excellence will always intersect with abundance and success. When you use the excuse that you do not get to be excellent because of circumstances, situations of other people, you are planting seeds of mediocrity. If you want bumper crop harvest in your sales success, in your life success, you will always deliver excellence regardless of circumstances, situations of other people. This is on you. Truer words have not been spoken for your life professionally and personally. Always do your best.
And quote number five is, “Become the person who would attract the results you seek.” Jim Cathcart. So understand your mind does not know the difference between a real memory in a vividly imagined future. So 90% of your decision-making is happens in the unconscious, subconscious level of your mind. When you plant the seed every single day of your success of who you’re becoming. Is that a trophy winner? Is that a promotion? Is that a new job? Is that a new house? Whatever that person who you’re becoming, plant that seed every day and you will find that you begin to have more confidence, you have more courage, you have more resilience, you’re more resourceful, you’re more creative, you’re more innovative. And each and every day you will get better in every way. Becoming the person who is attracting the results that you’ve decided are your results to have more in 2024. Have a great day selling.
