Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast, and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Last week, I shared a tip about structural success as I started to think about the themes for our upcoming Sales Success Summit on October 7th and 8th. This week, I want to explore the idea of Systemic Success. Consistent success doesn’t happen by accident. It takes a ton of work, but not just a lot of random work in general. It takes purposeful work. The way you get to purposeful work is having a system.
Now, there’s plenty of talk about different sales processes, but I think your sales process is just part of an even larger system. Your morning routine, the way you eat, the workouts you do certainly aren’t part of your sales process, but they absolutely affect you and the way you perform. That’s what I’m talking about when I think about Systemic Success.
We’re going to talk about it from a variety of different perspectives. Most notably, I know this is a key part of Brandon Fluharty’s presentation on purposeful performance as he opens day one. Then Luke Floyd is going to double down on the second day in his talk about Building Success with a High Performance Operating System. Those who join us are even going to get a copy of Luke’s brand new book that he’ll be releasing at the summit that covers the topic in even more depth.
Shannon Hall is going to help us consider the topic from a different angle when she talks about how to ungrind, which to me is all about sustainable success. What good is your system if you can’t maintain it for years? Then Dave Schwartz is going to help us look at personal performance from a completely different perspective, again, as he talks about handling the weight of sales.
That’s not all, though. When I think of systemic success, I don’t just think about how you operate. I think a lot about who helps you operate at the highest levels. To me, this is the secret ingredient of the summit, because there is no better opportunity to surround yourself with the best of the best and find mentors and others who are going to support you in your journey way beyond the summit. Just this week, a summit alumni got hired by another previous attendee, a connection that started right here in Austin. Now, there are tons of those stories, and we’re going to talk explicitly about how to do it.
I’m super excited about the panel that Jack Wilson is going to host about not going it alone. Jacquelyn Nicholson, who has never missed a summit, is going to impart some serious wisdom in her talk about leadership and managing up and avoiding bad bosses. Because if you don’t have that in place, it’s really, really, really difficult to be successful despite a bad boss, even if you do have a great system.
So in just about a month, we’re going to all come together to either rebuild or finetune our own systems of success and support each other in the process. Will you be there? I sure hope so. We’re a hell of a lot stronger together. So once again, for a super special listener rate, just drop me an email or a note on LinkedIn so I can hook you up. The rest of the details are at top1summit.com. Once you’ve there and sent me that note, be sure to come back tomorrow for another great sales tip. Thanks for listening.
