Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. One of the things I hope to do with this podcast was to surface some of the great tips and conversations that crop up on LinkedIn from time to time, and I think this is the first time we’ve been able to bring one of those to you. Today’s tip comes from Collin Cadmus, VP of sales at Aircall who first shared this idea on LinkedIn and as well over 300 likes and a couple dozen comments in as I record this. Here’s what he had to say.
Collin Cadmus: All right, salespeople, listen up. Make buying from you fun, build rapport, crack jokes, get your prospect laughing throughout the process, but remain the industry expert all the way through. Be someone they remember, someone who made an impression, someone who is fun to talk to. People are more likely to spend money when they’re having fun. It removes the anxiety of pre-buyers’ remorse. It’s a simple fact.
Scott Ingram: There you go. Does this resonate with you? Have you been able to sell more because you’ve had fun with your buyers or you’ve just been able to be more yourself with your buyers? Join the conversation at DailySales.Tips/41. On that page, you’ll also find links to connect directly with Collin on LinkedIn and read his original post as well. After you’ve left your comment there, come back here tomorrow for another great sales tip. Thanks for listening.
