Meshell Baker: Hello and welcome to Daily Sales Tip. This tip is on morning routines of the successful. And why is this important? It is very true that how you start your day dictates what your day will be like. So the most successful people in the world have established routines that they do first thing every morning to set their minds GPS. It gives them a direction. So no matter what comes throughout their day, they are reminded of who they decided to be. What they’ve decided to create? The success they decided to attract and generate with their day. And it all starts when you open your eyes and you set your mind on that target.
So here are a couple of things to let you know that some of the successful people do. You do not need to do all of them. You cherry-pick and start to make your own routine that is for you. And I highly encourage you to start with something, right? My clients. I encourage them to start with 15 minutes a day. That’s all you need. It’s less than 0.01% of your day to start with 15 minutes a day to set your mind right on the target of your sales success.
Now, here are a couple of things. They wake up at the same time every day. All of it, it’s not something I do, but this is for other people. Allow natural light into your room, drink a glass of water, eat breakfast, exercise, look at your list or meditate. So meditation is one of those first things I do to keep myself calm and to get myself in a State of Calm. So whatever comes my way, I’m a calm person.
Now, what does that mean for you? Well, there’s a quote by Hal Elrod that says, “Let today be the day you give up who you’ve been for who you become.”And that’s what happens when you decide to create a morning routine. You are grateful and embracing each day as your new chance and choice to create something better. It doesn’t matter what happens. If you understand life, your past is never an indicator of your future. There are so many stories of people who have overcome difficult and arduous and disappointing and cruel past to create something great. And it begins with today, right? It’s that thing. Is it going to be one day or is this day one? And when you wake up and make every day, day one, you’ll be amazed at what starts to the magic that starts to appear in your life.
The sales, you begin to close the deals, you begin to be offered, the promotions, the opportunities. It’s absolutely incredible. I remind people everywhere you go, there you are. So when you make it your habit and standard of investing in yourself consistently first thing every day, guess what happens. Other people want to invest in you too. When you don’t take time to invest in yourself, I often question, why do you think someone would invest in you if you want to invest in you?
So having said that, make it your habit and standard. And here are a couple of books outlist that you can grab. You can to start looking at how to create that morning routine that works best for you.
Hal Elrod, who I mentioned, The Morning Miracle is a very popular book that people, and he actually has an acronym for his standard of Morning Miracles. I won’t give it away. I’ll let you do your homework on your Googling and looking up things. Another book is My Morning Routine by Benjamin Spall. And there’s another book, Daily Rituals, The first 90 Days, The Power of Atomic Habits.
I highly encourage you to pick something and look for ways in Google. It doesn’t require getting a book. You can actually Google, how to create a successful morning routine or the successful routines of the routines of the successful. The goal for you here is to really get curious about creating standards and habits for yourself so that you can have that compound effect. When you do something consistently every day, you create a stronger and stronger link in your mind and a belief in yourself that will deliver and that belief is what you bring to every sales call with you so that your buyers start to believe in you.
So the more you do this every morning, the more you believe in yourself and it turns into your buyers and your prospects believing in you. See how that works awesome. Well, have a great day selling and I look forward to seeing you, hearing, or speaking with you again.
