Scott Ingram: This is the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today’s tip comes in the form of another short clip from my interview with Josh Mueller who is one of the top three all time top sellers at Cutco. Here’s what he had to say about getting to the next level.
Josh Mueller: I learned a long time ago that the best thing for me to do to get to the next level, to actually like, the secret to reaching the top, was actually stopping comparing myself to everybody else and starting comparing myself to my best. You’ll be amazed at what you’ve got inside of you when you really truly tuned into your potential and just make the decision to commit to being your best. And the reality is we can never be like anybody else because we’re all independent human beings. There’s no two humans on the planet that are exactly alike. So why try to be everybody else when you can just be your best. It takes a lot of pressure off. So just focus on that number one.
Scott Ingram: Now, this clip is just 40 seconds long, but it comes from one of my longest ever interviews on the Sales Success Stories podcast, which is really saying something. This one went over two hours because Josh just oozes excellence and clearly can’t stop. You could find the link to that episode and to more about Josh at DailySales.Tips/36. While you’re there, I hope you’ll answer today’s question which is, what does your best look like and what would happen if you consistently perform at that level? Thanks for listening and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
