Scott Ingram: You’re listening to the Daily Sales Tips podcast and I’m your host, Scott Ingram. Today’s tip comes from Jeff Bajorek. I think it’s perfectly on point. Here he is:
Jeff Bajorek: Your customers are begging to be led. I’ve said that before I will continue to say it and in times like this, which is really any time you need to show them that you are going to weather any storm, that you can be there for them understanding that you know what they need and that you’re willing to help.
Selling is leadership, so how can you lead? Well, it starts by not folding like a cheap lawn chair, anytime it hits the proverbial fan. You start that by making those calls. You start that by making sure that your customers and your prospects know where you stand when things aren’t going as well as they could be. Maybe that means that you get people together, maybe not in person, maybe virtually.
Think of all the tools that we have for video conferencing. Are you just using them to make in-person calls through video or are you using them to get people together? Maybe groups of your customers for a pseudo mastermind for problem-solving or maybe groups of your customers with your competitor’s customers, because they’re not going to do this, and you can demonstrate how you serve your customers and how you would serve your prospects if they become your customers.
How can you utilize times of chaos to restore order and show people that you are willing to take the lead and do the right thing for the right reasons unwaveringly? Think about this. There are a lot of things at your disposal, all you have to do is stop, think about some potential solutions and then put them into action.
