Chris Beck is the top performing Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Modern Health, the comprehensive global mental health solution offering employees access to one-on-one, group, and self-serve digital resources for their emotional, professional, social, financial, and physical well-being needs – all within a single platform. Chris is passionate about improving the world and society through supporting and empowering others. He is currently on a mission to help make quality mental health care accessible to as many people as possible.
Today, Scott and Chris meet to discuss the three things Chris attributes to his success. These include: his ability to care deeply about the work he does, being intentional, and asking for help while learning from others. Chris recalls his own sales origin story, one that includes an incredible year spent in Spain as a teacher. But after the Covid pandemic cut his time abroad short, he returned home and realized his passion for Sales. He found an amazing leader and mentor and eventually landed at Modern Health where he has thrived.
Chris details a day in the life, from his early morning meditation and journaling to his habits and routines at work. Chris is also training for a triathlon in Austin, so he tries to get in a spin class or similar workout as often as he can. He closes out each day by managing his energy and prepping for the day ahead. Scott and Chris talk about the importance of being well suited for the SDR role and what success in that role really looks like. Chris expounds on how he tracks and measures his own goals, both daily and long-term. Finally, Chris issues an actionable challenge to the audience.
