Hi there. Thanks for visiting!
I’m looking for a Full Time Marketing Assistant/Virtual Assistant to help me with a variety of tasks surrounding this podcast as well as upcoming events. As you’ll see I have a lot to offer for the right amazing individual. Only the best need apply.
If this isn’t the right fit for you, but you know someone who would be amazing: I will pay a $50 finders fee via Paypal after their first 30 days in the job. Thank you for your referrals! Just have your friend review this page and send their application to [email protected] and include your name and email address as the referrer when they do.
The most important things I’m looking for are someone with very good English. Especially in writing. Communication is a key part of this job. You must also love to learn and be technically savvy. This role will provide many opportunities to learn new things and many of those things will involve new technology.
You don’t have to have a ton of experience. You just have to be smart. Willing to manage yourself and your time well, and get a little better everyday.
You also have to have your own workspace, technology (laptop or computer) and a good Internet connection
Pay will be $700-$800 per month paid twice per month via Paypal with a review every 6 months that will likely include a raise as you learn and develop your skills. The more valuable you become, the more you will be paid. I’m looking for someone to start in January
Time with your family and friends is important and you will receive 14 paid (Filipino) holiday days each year. You will be eligible for 10 days of paid vacation after your first 4 months.
Hours are flexible, but ideally you’ll work from 5pm – 7pm CST (7am – 9am PHT) so that we have some overlap and can communicate directly at least for a few minutes most days. Beyond that you can work whenever you are most productive.
I’ll also expect a short daily email at the end of your working day describing what you were able to accomplish. What you’re planning on working on tomorrow and any questions you have for me. Of course I’ll help you manage these priorities as well and want to help you be successful.
Typical Tasks and Tools:
- Help finding, and initial communication with potential podcast guests (LinkedIn/Email)
- Blog post creation for new episodes (WordPress)
- Email newsletter setup (Active Campaign)
- Social Media Updates (Buffer/Twitter)
- Create short video clips and post to YouTube and blog (Wavve, YouTube, WordPress)
- Create landing pages (Thrive Architect/WordPress)
- Create valuable content resources like short ebooks, articles
- Follow-up on event inquiries (Email)
- Miscellaneous writing and reporting (Google Docs & Google Sheets)
- Daily call with Scott (Skype or Google Hangouts)
All software will be provided, and training provided as needed.
You will be encourage to spend 15-20% of your time (paid) to learn applicable skills, and improve yourself.
I’m really looking for a mutually beneficial long-term relationship. If things go according to plan we’ll be doing an event on a cruise ship roughly 17 months from now. I’d like to include my new marketing assistant and their guest in this trip. All expenses paid. Assuming a solid year of great work and learning together. There will be a little bit of work involved with this, but plenty of time to play!
To apply:
- Please send an email to [email protected]
- Briefly tell me why you’re interested in this job, and what skills and experience you have that will be an asset (this is a marketing role, so market yourself!)
- Include a picture of your work area and a short description of the technology and tools you have available
- Describe your Internet connection and available bandwidth
- Please also tell me a little bit about where you live and what you like to do for fun.
- And don’t forget your name and contact details, including your Skype username
Finalists will be paid $40 after working 1 trial day where you’ll work through a few sample tasks. These tasks will help you to get to know me and the company. They will also show me some of your writing and communication skills to make sure this is the right long-term fit.
Thank you!
