The short, human version. If you were hoping for ten pages of dense legal throat-clearing, we’re about to disappoint you.
Who we are
This is the privacy policy for Sales Success Media, LLC. It covers everything we run: the Sales Success Stories podcast, the Sales Success Summit, the site at top1.fm, and the answer engine at ai.top1.fm. One policy, all of it.
What we collect
- Contact details you hand us: name, email, sometimes a phone number or a LinkedIn URL.
- If you use the answer engine: the questions you ask and the answers you get back. We store them so your conversation makes sense over time and so we can make the thing smarter.
- The boring usual: IP address, browser, pages viewed, what you clicked, roughly where you are. What every website sees.
- If you buy something from us (a Summit ticket, say): a payment processor handles your card. We never see or store the number.
- If you’ve been a guest or a Summit speaker: your name, voice, likeness, and the recording and transcript. That’s sort of the entire point of a podcast.
What we do with it
We use it to run everything, remember you, improve what we make, respond to you, put on events, and send you things you actually asked for. That’s the list. We are not assembling a shadow profile to sell you a timeshare.
The AI part
The answers in the answer engine are written by AI, grounded in what real sales pros actually said on the show. The specific model might be Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or another leading one. We use them all and reserve the right to use whichever does the best job. Behind the scenes we lean on AI to summarize and organize too, but humans stay in the loop on the decisions that matter.
Where it lives
Your questions and your relationship with us live in our own internal system, lovingly named ROSS (our Relationship Operating System Steward). It’s ours, it’s in-house, and it exists so that when you talk to us, we actually remember you.
Recognizing visitors on top1.fm
On our main website, we use tools that help us spot business visitors (usually the company, sometimes the person). Standard B2B stuff, and it only works on US business traffic. If you’re in Europe, it leaves you be.
Who else sees your data
A short list of trusted service providers helps us run all this: the AI models mentioned above, plus behind-the-scenes help for email delivery, analytics, hosting, and payments. We describe them by category on purpose, because the specific tools change over time. They only ever touch your data to do their job for us.
We do not sell your data. We do not hand it to anyone to use for their own purposes. Full stop.
Emails
We send some: the stuff you signed up for, plus the occasional note we think you’ll want. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and it works. Use it anytime.
Cookies
We use a few. None of them are creepy. They keep you logged in and help us see what’s working. No annoying consent banner, because we’d rather respect your time than test your patience.
Keeping it and protecting it
We hold onto your data for as long as it’s useful or the law requires, and no longer once you ask us to let it go. We guard it with the usual reasonable measures. No system on earth is a perfect fortress, but we treat your data like it’s ours.
Your choices
Want to know what we’ve got, fix it, or have it deleted? Email [email protected] and we’ll sort it out. Doesn’t matter if you’re in California, the EU, or a cabin in Montana. Rights vary by where you live; ours is to help wherever you are.
Where it’s processed
We’re a US company, so your data is processed here in the United States, and wherever our service providers operate.
Kids
This is a tool for sales professionals. It isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We’ll update this when reality changes, which is exactly what just happened, or you wouldn’t be reading this version. The date up top tells you when.
One last thing: Claude wrote this privacy policy. So if you’re looking for deep pockets, talk to Anthropic and leave us alone.
