Summit Hallway Conversations: Sarah Brazier & Luke Floyd
Today’s bonus episode is brought to you thanks to the generous support of The Sales Collective. To learn more about them, just click over to top1.fm/tsc for The Sales Collective.
In today’s bonus episode of the Sales Success Stories podcast, I’ve got the first in a series of hallway conversations from last year’s Sales Success Summit. Truth be told, I totally forgot I had these. Jeff Bajorek has been kind enough to host this series of interviews during every Summit and until last year we released them in near real-time.
With this set, I had a different plan and apparently completely forgot about said plan. The result is maybe even better because this year’s Summit is just 2 months away on October 16th and 17th and these conversations are such a great reminder of just how powerful and impactful the Summit really is.
Yes, the content and presentations are amazing because they exclusively feature the top performers that you’ve heard here on this podcast, but it’s more about the experience and the opportunity to build real relationships and have real conversations with some of the best in the business.
So, for the next couple of months leading up to this year’s Summit, I’ll be sharing some of these conversations. This one features Jeff talking with Sarah Brazier and Luke Floyd, and for added context, you can scroll back in your feed to March 21, 2023, to hear the audio from Luke’s presentation.
Here they are with a pretty cool little intro of their own:

A Personal Update from Scott
Hey there, thank you for listening to and subscribing to this podcast. I really appreciate it. I just have two quick updates for you in this off-schedule episode.
The first one is personal, and what I’m actually going to do is include my Daily Sales Tip from May 31st here in a couple of minutes so you don’t have to go hunt that down if you haven’t yet heard it.
It’s a little bit of an uncomfortable share for me, but explains the inconsistency with new interviews here on Sales Success. A situation I’m working on rectifying over the next few weeks. So I guess stay tuned for that update.
In the meantime, I want you to get yourself registered for the webinar series that we’re presenting with the support of Vidyard, The Sales Collective, Sales Hacker, Outreach, and the Sales Feed. It’s happening on Friday, June 9th.
Hopefully, you’re able to join us live, but if you register we’ll be sure to get you the recordings afterwards. Do us both a favor and hit pause, click over to Top1.fm/WS for Webinar Series, and register. You can see the full lineup there as well, but being that you’re listening to a podcast, you might be a bit more audio inclined, so let me share with you what’s in store:
We’ll be kicking things off at 10 am Central Time with Jamal Reimer talking about Your Path to Enterprise Sales – How to Hunt Whales.
Then at 11, Ian Koniak will be talking about the Mindset of Sales Champions
At Noon, Steve Heroux from The Sales Collective will get Inside Your Sales DNA – The Hidden Factors Preventing Sales Success
at 1 o’clock Dr. Lisa Palmer will help us Supercharge our Sales with ChatGPT and other AI Tools
After 3 hours of non-stop action, Melissa Gaglione will be joining me at 2:15 to help you Book More Meetings TOMORROW with Video Prospecting
and finally, at 4 pm, David Weiss will help bring it home with The Ultimate Sales Playbook.
This is the best lineup I’ve put together since last year’s Summit and you don’t want to miss it.
So if you didn’t hit pause before, do it now or at least ask your phone via Siri or Google or Alexa or whatever to remind you to go to top1.fm/ws to get registered today.
And now, here’s last Wednesday’s Daily Sales Tip with my personal update:
And you signed up for the webinar series, right? Seriously! You’re not allowed to listen to another podcast without going to top1.fm/WS to register and do me one other huge favor. Tell a friend or two… or 20! Thanks for listening!
No Presentations… All Conversations
Today I’ve got a quick update on our upcoming Basecamp event. This was originally scheduled for May 9th and was meant to be kind of a Sales Success Summit light. A single-day event with a whole series of really actionable, shorter presentations from the top sellers that you’ve heard here on this show. I won’t go into the gory details, but some things happened that caused me to rethink that approach and I’m super excited about how we’ve pivoted. We’ll be taking that originally planned content and will be doing a day-long webinar series in collaboration with Sales Hacker on June 9th. We don’t quite have the landing page up for that, but if you go to top1.fm and join the listener list you’ll be one of the first to have the opportunity to sign-up.
The bigger pivot is with the core event. As I talked about at the beginning of the year, I’ve wanted to lean more into the value of the community this year and I’ve decided to make the event a way more intimate experience. We’ve also moved the dates to May 22nd and 23rd and my tagline for the event is No Presentations… All Conversations, which is kind of funny because not only is this relevant for the community, but it could also be used to largely describe my own sales approach, but I digress.
We still have maybe a dozen spots available as I record this and the only way to get a ticket is to purchase an All Access Pass which also includes your ticket to the Sales Success Summit in October. The details are at top1.fm/2023 and the sign-up link is at the bottom of that page. There’s even a monthly payment option which would technically allow you to attend for a laughable up-front investment prior to our coming together in a few short weeks.
Here’s a bit more about what to expect if you’re considering joining us. We’ll come together late Monday afternoon on the 22nd at this boutique hotel in downtown Austin where many of those attending will also be staying, so talk about immersive. That evening we actually will have 1 presentation and a happy hour that we’ll open up to the public because Lisa Palmer, the star of episode 100 here on the podcast literally just finished defending her thesis and will be getting her PhD in Artificial Intelligence. She’s going to talk about AI from a more complex sales perspective in her presentation: From Human to Hybrid: 10 Ways to Use AI Today to Crush Your Number. After that’s all done, we’ll kick out the public and let the real experience begin.
We’ll go all day and night on Tuesday the 23rd with a half dozen facilitated conversations ranging from Executive Presence, to Leveraging AI and ChatGPT to Partner and CoSelling to Managing Your Sales Career with plenty of space and fun for everyone to make more meaningful connections while enjoying some great Austin food.
Something tells me we’re going to end up spending a lot of time on the rooftop lounge with an epic view of downtown Austin until rather late before we’re all forced to head home and get back to work Wednesday morning.
Again, if you’re thinking of joining us, space is super limited and there are only a handful of seats left, so grab your All Access Pass now at top1.fm/2023, or feel free to send me a message on LinkedIn if I can help answer any questions.
Thanks for listening!
